Preparation of the “Major Accident Prevention Policy Document”:

Our establishment is subject to the “Regulation on the Prevention of Major Industrial Accidents and Mitigation of Their Effects”. The notification required under Article 7 of the Regulation has been made through the Ministry of Environment and Urbanisation’s notification system (BEKRA). Based on the BEKRA notification, our establishment has been classified as a “Lower-Tier” establishment. In accordance with Article 10 of the Regulation, our establishment has prepared a “Major Accident Prevention Policy Document”.

Activities carried out at our establishment:

Founded in 1996, Kırmızıgül Cosmetics has manufactured cosmetic products to ISO, SGS and GMP standards since 2011 at its modern factory on a 20,000 m² site in Çerkezköy Organised Industrial Zone.

In the event of a major accident, the following applies:

Detailed plans have been made for the measures and actions required in the event of a major accident at the establishment, and all staff have received adequate emergency training. If an accident occurs, staff will notify the relevant authorities. In that case, leave the area immediately, stay in a safe location and wait until the hazards have been eliminated.

Flammable gases and chemicals are stored at the establishment. Accident scenarios that could result in fire, explosion or environmental pollution have been analysed and numerous precautions have been taken. In addition to measures that prevent flammable gases and chemicals from spreading, alarm procedures are in place to stop any release from escalating. If substances hazardous to the environment are spilled within the storage area, they cannot leak into the soil.

An Internal Emergency Plan has been prepared to coordinate with emergency services, neighbouring establishments and other authorities so that the effects of any major industrial accident are kept to a minimum. All possible scenarios have been assessed in this plan and employees have received the necessary training.

All accident scenarios that could occur at the establishment have been assessed and reported, and Hazardous Substance Response Cards, which identify the hazardous substances and explain how to respond, have been prepared and shared with the relevant authorities.
